Balbir Singh Dance Company

seeks dancers with strong swimming skills for the company's large-scale water-based production Synchronised, a flagship performance project originally commissioned by imove as part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad.

Cirque du Soleil

The Casting Team of Cirque du Soleil is looking for a male ballet dancer to play the role of Pierrot on the show La Nouba in Orlando, USA.

The Pierrot role: Imagine a classic love story with the passion and intensity of Romeo and Juliet. Only now, the relationship is between a Pierrot clown and a lost ballerina. Their love, like their dance, is a never-ending story filled with desire, fear and a longing for more.

The candidate must have the following character's traits:
Male;
Ideally 5'11 or taller;
Poetic and romantic character.

Requirements for the role:
Must be able to portray the characters traits;
Must have experience as a soloist in a Ballet company;
Excellent partnering abilities and experience in "Pas de Deux";
Strong stage presence.

Danish National School of Performing Arts

is a state institution under The Danish Ministry of Culture. The 2-year full time Dance Partnership education focuses on dance pedagogy, creative practice, music and administration and targets professional dancers, who will be trained to undertake collaborative creative dance projects in schools, cultural institutions and on their own. The applicant must have at least 2 years professional experience and a bachelor degree in dance or equivalent.

The education is financed by the Danish state and is free of charge for all European students, while non-European students will need to finance their studies themselves. The education qualifies the student to receive SU (Statens Uddannelsesstøtte), but all foreign students will have to apply for financial support in their homeland to cover their living expenses.

video Dance audition/castings for Cruise Ships/ Casino/ Parks

1. We are currently searching for male/female dancers /preferably with singing ability/ for a ship contract 22nd of May 2014 - 06th of Dec 2014 on a European cruise ship.
Staff status: dining in passenger restaurants, allowance to go to all passenger areas like bars, shop, use spa, pool, etc.
Accommodation: passenger cabin / double cabin. Payment: 2200 Euros per month.

ITINERARY: WORLD CRUISE (Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Asia, Central America, South Pacific Islands, Arabia, Caribbean)

2. We are also looking for a Ballroom/Latin couple for the Ship Contract. This time they do not necessarily need to be a couple that shares a cabin but rather just dance together.
They should have strong ballroom/Latin skills but also have a background in jazz and ballet and they will be required to perform in the other shows as part of the production cast.
It is also a requirement that they have strong English speaking and understanding skills as they will have to perform emergency duties onboard.
Heights: Male at least 175cm, Female at least 165cm.

A professional training course with the possibility of being insert in remunerated productions and shows in different dance sectors, thanks to an intensive and targeted program that examines different guidelines of artistic creation and technical training.
The course, lasting eight months for a total of 960 hours of training (October - May), provides daily lessons of classical and contemporary dance technique, workshops| stages| seminaries that will take place monthly with the participation of national and international choreographers, thanks to whom it will be possible to learn and know more about contemporary dance styles and techniques.
Tuitions with professionals are also included, about the following subjects: Theatre and Direction about self entrepreneurship and cultural planning, music workshops.
Every participant will confront himself with a technical and compositive route through Laboratories of Choreographic - Theatrical composition, studying improvisational and creative composition techniques of dancing and acting mixed with dance.
The course provides also the participation in shows and productions by Leggere Strutture, to learn how to get practical on stage, according to the motto"learning by doing", and being remunerated for every presence on stage. Participants will be followed and informed monthly about working opportunities and auditions; it is the final goal of our Dance's Start Up project the training of female and male dancers to introduce into dance companies, national and international.
