Interested in subverting, exploring and exporting Hispanic/Latino culture in Britain and beyond, it creates darkly humorous, filmic work that questions gender, sexual and cultural expectations through kitschy theatricality and vigorous physicality.


Choreographer Carlos Pons Guerra is seeking male dancers with excellent classical and contemporary technique, with unique personalities, skills in character work and theatricality, for the creation and UK national tour of its new full - length narrative production, "Toro".

DeNada's Beauty and the Bull, a surreal, gender questioning and postcolonial work inspired by Angela Carter's reading of "Beauty and the Beast - The Tiger's Bride".

The creation will take place between Monday, 21st August and Friday 22nd September 2017, at DanceXchange, Birmingham, with a further production and touring period between 26th February - May 2018.

The company is offering two professional contracts and two paid apprentice contracts.

Requirements:
Professional candidates must have a minimum of three years experience with a professional company, whilst apprentices must have a minimum of three years of vocational training in a recognised conservatoire.
Skills in acrobatics, circus and/or drag will be a bonus, but not necessary.

contemporary dance company is looking for young and talented dancers to take part in its new young company.
The project involves a one - year preparatory course in order to take part in the Young Company, which will end with a final examination.
In the second part of the project successful candidates will start their professional career with the company (at least one year) that will see them engaged in performances and performing tours in Italy and abroad.

All dancers joining the Young Company will be regularly paid according to the Italian National Employment Contract.

Requirements:
Applicants must be between 18 and 25 years old.
Strong ballet and contemporary dance techniques and good dance improvisation skills are required.

The audition:
will consist in participating in a contemporary technique choreographic workshop and a ballet class.
Moreover participants need to present a choreographic performance (up to 2 minutes), please bring your own music on USB support.

Scholarship:
After the first 3 months of training, a scholarship will be awarded to the best dancer (male or female).

seeks a well-rounded, athletic male dancer with a background in modern and ballet for its 2017 - 2018 Season.

Spark is looking for dancers with strong stage presence, clean technique, precise movement, and the ability to give creative input while picking up steps quickly.
Rehearsals are regularly held on Mondays from 6:00 - 9:00pm with one additional weekly rehearsal scheduled around dancer and studio availability.
Dancers must be available to perform on September 29th and 30th at the Actors Fund Arts Center in downtown Brooklyn.
Additional performance opportunity available for the morning of July 17th, if new dancer is available.
Dancers will receive a stipend for participating in performances on September 29th and 30th, in addition to performing in any other shows that are produced by Spark (ie not showcases or festivals).

The base payment for a weekend of performances is $200, and the stipend increases each year a dancer is with Spark.
Additional $100 stipend for July 17th performance.

LED is seeking two highly skilled male dancers for a new work to premiere in the fall of 2017, and both male and female dancers for future projects.
